Rhythm is something which we encounter even before taking our first breath in this world. The human heart begins to beat its lub-dub at approximately three weeks after conception. At this time, our heart beat is synchronized with that of our mother’s. This is why we experience rhythms and connect to it even without knowing the theoritical part of it. We all tap our feet while listening to some song and many of us even set their fingers free on any surface to beat and play a rhythm don’t we?

Learning Rhythms is comparatively easy as it represents the chopping down of time. The Rhythm is represented in the same unit we use to measure the heartbeat – BPM (Beats Per Minute). So, Rhythm is measured in relation to time which is one of the most fundamental entity in physical as well as meta-physical science. The whole world operates on 60 BPMs – which is the Rhythm of seconds strike by the clock which we call – a minute. The human heart also responds to music by synchronizing itself to the rhythm we hear. Dance and syncopated music have known to increase the heartrate while soothing, low pace music like lo-fi/chill/blues are known for calming effect. Summing it all up, we all carry a Rhythm in our heart to which we call -The Lub Dub!
